Patna: The Bihar government is pushing to complete the Dr. Ambedkar Samagra Seva Abhiyan in all Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe (SC/ST) tolas across the state by July 15, 2025. In a review meeting held via video conferencing on June 24, Chief Secretary Amrit Lal Meena directed all District Magistrates (DMs) to expedite camp organization, especially in smaller tolas by combining them where needed.
Launched on the occasion of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar’s Jayanti, the campaign is a statewide outreach initiative aimed at ensuring direct delivery of 22 key government schemes to around 60,000 SC/ST hamlets.
Weekly Camps Drive Grassroots Welfare

- Tap water connections
- Social security pensions (old age, widow, disability)

Education and Health Departments Lead in Complaint Resolution

Close behind, the Health Department has addressed 98.47% of applications related to Ayushman Bharat cards, health camps, and health cards.
A Targeted, Inclusive Model for Grassroots Governance
By bringing governance to the doorstep of some of the most underserved communities in Bihar, the campaign demonstrates the state’s commitment to inclusion, efficiency, and equity. With weekly camp formats, streamlined scheme delivery, and strong inter-departmental coordination, Dr. Ambedkar Samagra Seva Abhiyan is shaping up to be a model for targeted public service delivery in rural India.
