IAS officer Ganji Kamla Vardhan Rao has been given the additional charge of Director General of tourism by the ACC ( appointment committee of cabinet). He will hold this additional responsibility untill the regular incumbent or further orders are not given. The officer is already serving as the Chairman & MD of the ITDC ( India tourism development corporation ltd.)
G. Kamla V. Rao, a very experienced IAS officer of 1990 batch from Kerala cadre has served on some key positions in a span of 30 years of his career. Back in 2014 – 15, he was appointed as the secretary of Kerala tourism. He has also served as the Chairman of Indian tobacco board, Director of fisheries department & in Andhra Pradesh government as the Director of Department of tourism and culture.
