New Delhi: GAIL (India) Limited, the country’s leading Maharatna PSU and a critical pillar of India’s natural gas value chain, has announced a change in its Board of Directors. The company informed stock exchanges that Ms. Kamini Chauhan Ratan has ceased to serve as Government Nominee Director, effective at the close of business on November 22, 2025.

According to the regulatory filing, the cessation follows an official instruction issued by the Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas (MoPNG) on November 20, 2025 (Reference: A-22012/1/2018-Estt-PNG; E-25372). The update is described as part of a routine and procedural reshuffling of nominee directors in line with government norms for public sector entities.

Ms. Ratan’s Tenure and Contributions
Ms. Kamini Chauhan Ratan, who served on the Board under DIN 09831741, represented the Ministry’s interests and contributed to the strategic direction of GAIL during her tenure. Her role included supporting governance, oversight, and policy alignment between the company and the central government’s energy priorities.
GAIL acknowledged her service and expressed appreciation for her contributions to the organisation’s corporate governance framework.
Disclosure Aligned With SEBI Regulations
The company reaffirmed that the announcement is being made in full compliance with SEBI’s Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements (LODR) Regulations, 2015. GAIL assured stakeholders that the transition is part of normal administrative processes and that continuity in governance will be maintained.
