Retired IAS officer Ganji Kamala V Rao IAS will continue as Chief Executive Officer, Food Safety & Standards Authority of India (FSSAI). An IAS officer of 1990 batch and Kerala cadre, Mr. Rao’s superannuation is due on 31 August 2023. However, he has been re-employed as CEO, FSSAI on contract basis for a period of one year beyond the date of his superannuation.
He has previously served as Managing Director of Indian Tourism Development Corporation Ltd. in the rank and pay of Additional Secretary. He has also served as the Principal Secretary of the General Administration Department, Government of Kerala.
