Gandhinagar: Goa Shipyard Limited (GSL), a leading Defence Public Sector Undertaking, has been conferred the prestigious Rajbhasha Kirti Award for the year 2024–25. The award was presented under Sector ‘C’ in Public Sector Undertakings for GSL’s outstanding performance in the implementation of the Official Language.
Recognition at National Hindi Conference
The honour was presented to Brijesh Kumar Upadhyay, Chairman & Managing Director, Goa Shipyard Limited, by Arjun Ram Meghwal, Union Minister of State for Law & Justice, and Dinesh Sharma, Rajya Sabha MP, during the 5th Akhil Bharatiya Official Language Conference.
The ceremony was held in Gandhinagar, Gujarat, on September 14, 2025, as part of Hindi Diwas celebrations. The recognition highlights GSL’s commitment to promoting Hindi in its official functioning, thereby strengthening the national language’s role in governance and administration.
