Hyderabad: Andhra Pradesh NSIC schemes are playing an important role in strengthening small businesses and promoting entrepreneurship across the state.
According to official information released by the government, the National Small Industries Corporation (NSIC) has helped thousands of MSMEs through various initiatives such as raw material assistance, credit facilitation, skill development and marketing support.
Over the last three years and the current financial year, 1,446 SC/ST entrepreneurs in Andhra Pradesh have benefited from the National SC-ST Hub (NSSH) Scheme implemented by NSIC. The initiative aims to promote inclusive entrepreneurship and improve participation of SC/ST-owned enterprises in government procurement.
What is NSIC Scheme
The National Small Industries Corporation (NSIC) is a public sector enterprise under the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME). It provides integrated support to small businesses across India.

The corporation offers services such as:
- Raw material assistance
- Marketing and B2B platform support
- Credit facilitation through banks
- Digital and ICT services
- Entrepreneurship and skill development training
- Market linkages through exhibitions and trade fairs
In Andhra Pradesh, NSIC branch offices in Vijayawada and Visakhapatnam provide support to MSMEs, including those in Konaseema district.
Details of Andhra Pradesh NSIC Schemes
NSIC has implemented several schemes to help MSMEs grow. Over the past three years and the current year (up to February 2026), many entrepreneurs have benefited from different initiatives.
Key Schemes Used by MSMEs
- Single Point Registration Scheme (SPRS) – Helps MSMEs participate in government procurement.
- Global MSME Mart (B2B) – An online platform that connects MSMEs with buyers and suppliers.
- Raw Material Assistance Scheme – Helps businesses procure raw materials at competitive prices.
- Raw Material Distribution Scheme – Ensures supply of essential raw materials.
- Bank Tie-up Scheme – Facilitates credit support for small businesses.
- Bill Discounting Scheme – Helps MSMEs manage working capital by discounting invoices.
For example, under the Global MSME Mart platform, participation increased significantly in 2025-26 with 191 MSMEs joining the B2B platform.

Andhra Pradesh NSIC Schemes : 1,446 SC/ST Entrepreneurs Benefit
The National SC-ST Hub (NSSH) Scheme is designed to promote entrepreneurship among Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe communities.
Key benefits under the scheme include:
- Capital subsidy up to ₹25 lakh for machinery and equipment
- Skill development and capacity building programs
- Market access through special assistance schemes
- Reimbursement of testing fees and export council membership fees
- Support for participation in government e-commerce platforms
Through this initiative, 1,446 SC/ST entrepreneurs in Andhra Pradesh have received support over the last three years and the current year.
Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Training
NSIC’s Technical Service Centre in Hyderabad conducts training programs for entrepreneurs and MSME workers.
Training Programs Conducted
- 2022-23 – 1 programme, 20 candidates
- 2023-24 – 1 programme, 100 candidates
- 2024-25 – 2 programmes, 479 candidates
- 2025-26 (up to Feb 2026) – 9 programmes, 1,161 candidates
These programs focus on entrepreneurship development and skill training to help small businesses grow and compete in the market.
NSIC Signs MoUs for Raw Material Supply
To ensure easy access to raw materials, NSIC has signed agreements with several major companies, including:
- Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL)
- Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited (RINL)
- BITARA Pvt Ltd
- Shree Cement
- Sri Kanya Steel Corporation
These partnerships help MSMEs obtain raw materials at better prices and with reliable supply chains.
Government Steps to Expand MSME Support
To improve the reach of its schemes in Andhra Pradesh, NSIC has taken several steps:
- Awareness campaigns and workshops for MSMEs
- Credit and raw material assistance
- Entrepreneurship development programs
- Skill training through partner institutions
- Trade fairs and exhibitions for market linkage
- Collaboration with state agencies and district authorities
