During his visit to Dharamjaigarh a day before Independence Day, Chief Minister Mr. Vishnu Deo Sai dedicated and launched development works worth Rs. 62 crore 36 lakh in Raigarh district. The projects include the inauguration of completed works and the foundation stone laying for upcoming schemes, aimed at boosting infrastructure, healthcare, water supply, and tribal welfare in the region.

Inauguration of Projects Worth Rs. 42.99 Crore
Mr. Sai inaugurated 45 completed projects, totalling Rs. 42 crore 99 lakh. Among the major works were:
- A high-level bridge with approach roads on Bhengari Nala on the Aidukla-Panikhet road in Dharamjaigarh, constructed at a cost of Rs. 5 crore 25 lakh 11 thousand.
- A bridge over the Kharoon river on Pakargaon road in Lalunga, completed at a cost of Rs. 6 crore 39 lakh 6 thousand.
He also dedicated several water supply initiatives under the Single Village Nal Jal Prady Yojana, Retrofitting Nal Jal Prady Yojana, and Solar-Based Nal Jal Prady Yojana in Kharsia, Lalunga, and Dharamjaigarh areas. These projects were implemented at a cost of Rs. 28 crore 53 lakh 29 thousand.
In the healthcare sector, Primary Health Centres were inaugurated in Bahirkela (Dharamjaigarh) and Lamdand (Lalunga), each built at a cost of Rs. 75 lakh. A community hall was also inaugurated in village Konpara (Gharghoda block) at a cost of Rs. 7 lakh.
To strengthen power infrastructure, the Chief Minister inaugurated a 33/11 KV, 3.15 MVA substation of Chhattisgarh State Power Distribution Company Limited (CSPDCL) at Sub Centre Khargaon in Dharamjaigarh, constructed at a cost of Rs. 1 crore 25 lakh.
Bhoomi Pujan for New Projects Worth Rs. 19.36 Crore
In addition to inaugurations, Mr. Sai laid the foundation stone for 70 new development works, amounting to Rs. 19 crore 36 lakh.
These include:
- Construction of PO Tribal Boys Hostel buildings at seven locations: Dhorabhatha, Tamnar, Lalunga, Ghatgaon, Gharghoda, Bakaruma, and Dharamjaigarh, with a combined cost of Rs. 13 crore 28 lakh 36 thousand.
- Construction of a watch tower at Room No. 643 RF in the Dharamjaigarh site (Rs. 20 lakh 33 thousand) and a patrolling camp at Room No. 11 RF in Kumarta (Rs. 10 lakh 88 thousand).
Infrastructure works in various gram panchayats of Dharamjaigarh development block, such as culverts, CC roads, footways, RCC culverts, sheds, community halls, Panchayat Bhawans, and Mangal Bhawans, were also initiated at a cost of Rs. 2 crore 54 lakh 95 thousand.
Furthermore, repair works for 44 health centres across Lalunga, Dharamjaigarh, and Kharsia assembly constituencies were launched, with an estimated cost of Rs. 3 crore 22 lakh 22 thousand.

Chief Minister Mr. Sai’s initiatives mark a significant push for the development of rural and tribal areas in Raigarh district. The projects are expected to enhance connectivity, improve basic amenities, strengthen healthcare facilities, and promote inclusive growth in the region. Addressing the gathering, Mr. Sai reiterated his government’s commitment to equitable development and reaching underserved communities through timely infrastructure and welfare measures.
