New Delhi — Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav on Wednesday emphasized the state’s commitment to transforming itself into a global hub for textile and garment manufacturing, while also reiterating full support to investors and industrialists looking to establish or expand their presence in the state.
Speaking at the BSL Global Outreach Summit 2025, held at Bharat Mandapam Convention Centre, New Delhi, CM Yadav highlighted India’s rapid economic ascent and the proactive policies that are fueling Madhya Pradesh’s industrial growth.
“Today’s event reflects that the world is witnessing the rise of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership. India’s transformation is not accidental—it requires determination, innovation, and diversity,” he said.
India’s Economic Rise Under Modi: From 15th to 4th Largest Economy
CM Yadav drew a historical comparison, stating that India ranked 15th globally in economic terms at independence, had risen to 11th when PM Modi took charge, and now proudly stands as the world’s 4th largest economy.
Textile Vision for Madhya Pradesh: From Cotton to Global Markets
Addressing a roundtable with major textile and garment manufacturers, CM Yadav presented his vision for turning Madhya Pradesh into the heart of global textile production. He noted:
- MP is one of India’s leading cotton producers, generating around 1.8 million bales annually.
- The state leads in organic cotton production, supported by GOTS-certified farmer groups.
- “From field to fabric,” the state offers a complete value chain for investors.
Bold Reforms: Cutting Red Tape, Supporting Industry
Dr. Yadav also showcased sweeping regulatory reforms:
- 42 outdated laws scrapped to ease business operations.
- Industrial approvals reduced from 29 to just 10, cutting red tape drastically.
- “Earlier, approvals could take two years. Now, we offer a guaranteed 30-day business launch window,” he said.
Through single-window clearance, online approvals, and high-level monitoring, Madhya Pradesh is focusing on efficiency, transparency, and global best practices.
Financial Support & Women-Centric Policies
The CM made a strong pitch to attract employment-generating industries, particularly those that hire women. Key announcements include:
- ₹6,000 per woman worker/month for 10 years to eligible industries.
- Combined with other subsidies, benefits can reach up to 200% support for employment-based industries.
- “We are ready to meet your standards—and exceed them,” Dr. Yadav assured industrialists.
ESG Commitment & Green Industrialization
Highlighting the state’s commitment to sustainable and responsible growth, he said:
- “We are not just building factories—we’re building eco-friendly units aligned with ESG goals.”
- Madhya Pradesh is prioritizing clean energy, water conservation, and organic farming integration in textile growth.
“Made in MP” for the World
CM Yadav said the state’s New Industrial Policy 2025 is aimed at making “Made in MP” products globally competitive.
All subsidies and incentives are directly transferred to bank accounts to ensure transparency and speed.
“Madhya Pradesh = Your Global Factory,” he declared, emphasizing the PM MITRA Park and upcoming industrial zones as engines of large-scale investment and job creation.
BSL Global Outreach Summit: Connecting Buyers and Sellers
The summit brought together global retail giants, manufacturers, and supply chain leaders—including names like Walmart—on one platform. CM Yadav held one-on-one meetings and roundtable discussions with several global business leaders, thanking BSL for hosting a visionary platform.
Madhya Pradesh Shaping a New Industrial Identity
Speaking to the media after the event, CM Yadav said:
“Madhya Pradesh is crafting an industry-based identity. We have created a full ecosystem—from cotton farming to yarn, fabric, ready-made garments, and global buyers—all in one place.”
With expanding infrastructure, business-friendly governance, and global outreach, the state is positioning itself as a preferred destination for textile investment, both in India and abroad.
