New Delhi: The Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) has issued two separate notifications inviting applications for Director-level positions in prominent Central Public Sector Enterprises (CPSEs): NHPC Limited and Container Corporation of India Limited (CONCOR). Both vacancies are set to arise in the first half of 2026 and are open to eligible candidates from the public and private sectors.

The position of Director (Personnel) at NHPC Limited will fall vacant on June 1, 2026, following the superannuation of Uttam Lal on May 31, 2026. Lal has held the post since June 13, 2023, and has been instrumental in overseeing HR development, personnel policies, and talent strategy in India’s premier hydropower utility.

This role is one of the key functional Director-level positions, responsible for shaping NHPC’s human capital and industrial relations landscape.

Director (Domestic Division) – CONCOR

  • Mode of Application: Online via PESB Portal

The post of Director (Domestic Division) in Container Corporation of India Ltd. (CONCOR) will become vacant on March 1, 2026, due to the retirement of Mohammad Azhar Shams on February 28, 2026. Shams has been serving in this position since January 2023, playing a critical role in CONCOR’s domestic freight and logistics operations.

The Director (Domestic Division) oversees strategic planning and execution of domestic logistics, container transportation, and related commercial operations.

Eligibility and Application Process

Candidates from both public and private sector organisations who meet the prescribed eligibility criteria can apply for either position. Applicants must submit their applications exclusively through the PESB portal by November 11, 2025. Late submissions will not be considered.
