With citizens from all 75 districts contributing ideas and insights, the initiative is setting a strong foundation for a visionary and inclusive development roadmap for the state.
Dialogues Held Across 75 Districts to Shape Uttar Pradesh’s Future
Nodal officers and intellectuals have conducted extensive grassroots outreach, engaging with students, teachers, entrepreneurs, farmers, workers, voluntary organizations, and media professionals. These dialogues not only highlighted the development journey of the last eight years, but also sought meaningful inputs to plan strategic interventions for Uttar Pradesh’s future.
Over 1.5 Lakh Feedback Entries Collected
So far, the dedicated feedback portal samarthuttarpradesh.up.gov.in has recorded more than 1.5 lakh feedback entries, reflecting a strong sense of ownership among citizens. Breakdown of feedback:
- 1 lakh+ suggestions from rural areas
- 50,000+ responses from individuals under the age of 31
- 75,000+ from the 31–60 age group
- Substantial participation from senior citizens above 60
This data-driven feedback mechanism is helping policymakers understand region-wise priorities and age-specific concerns.
Education, Urban Development, and Agriculture Dominate Feedback
Education remains the top area of public concern, with nearly 50,000 suggestions focused on improving school infrastructure, curriculum design, and accessibility. Other key sectors include:
- 25,000+ suggestions on rural and urban development
- 20,000+ ideas related to agriculture and allied sectors
- 15,000+ inputs on healthcare
- Substantial feedback on social welfare schemes
This diverse feedback is providing a clear roadmap for prioritizing resources in upcoming policy decisions.
High Engagement from Grassroots Districts
Districts such as Kanpur Dehat, Farrukhabad, Jaunpur, Balrampur, Pratapgarh, and Firozabad have emerged as frontrunners in civic engagement. These districts alone contributed over 53,996 feedbacks, underscoring the enthusiasm and awareness among the people.
Focus on Skill Development and Education Reform
Thought leaders like Mr. Arun Kumar Dwivedi, Ms. Deepali, and Ms. Vaishali Raina stressed the need for integrating vocational training with academic education. Proposals included:
- Introducing vocational subjects in schools
- Offering free skill development courses via e-learning platforms
- Improving infrastructure and teaching quality in government schools to reduce reliance on costly private education
These ideas align with the state’s commitment to employment-linked education reforms.
Embracing AI and Emerging Technologies
Participants like Mr. Abhishek Kumar and Mr. Alok Kumar from Kanpur Dehat highlighted the role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and tools like ChatGPT in reshaping sectors like:
- Education
- Research
- Healthcare
- Architecture
- Space technology
They cited global advancements, including NASA’s interest in AI, as inspiration for technological upskilling at the grassroots level in Uttar Pradesh.
AI Adoption Needs Caution and Responsible Implementation
While AI drew interest, experts cautioned that rigorous testing, ethical guidelines, and user awareness are essential for widespread and safe adoption. The feedback reflects a mature public understanding of both the promise and the perils of emerging technologies.
Citizens as Co-Creators in Policy
The campaign clearly demonstrates that the citizens of Uttar Pradesh are not passive observers, but active contributors to the state’s transformation.
