NITI Aayog Pushes for Collaborative, Data-Driven Planning
During a key review meeting held at the Planning Department headquarters, Mr. B.V.R. Subrahmanyam, CEO of NITI Aayog, proposed the formation of a joint task force that would include domain experts, NITI Aayog officials, regional planners, and members of the state planning department. The purpose is to enhance the precision and effectiveness of the vision document through data-driven and consultative planning.
Inclusive Approach with Over 500 Topics for Public Suggestions
According to the Principal Secretary of the State Planning Commission, more than 500 thematic groups have been created to collect and analyze public opinion. These efforts are being undertaken across all districts, where inputs are being gathered from educational institutions, panchayats, public representatives, and citizens.
A dedicated online portal has also been launched to ensure that every citizen of Uttar Pradesh can contribute to shaping the future of the state through their ideas and recommendations.
Universities to Play a Key Role in Spreading the Vision
To further streamline the communication and development of the document, the NITI Aayog CEO recommended that Chief Minister Mr. Yogi Adityanath hold a dedicated meeting with representatives of all state universities. This would not only facilitate broader dissemination of the vision but also help engage the student community in the development process.
Deadline to Finalize Vision 2047 in Focus
The NITI Aayog has also called for setting a defined timeframe for the finalization of the Vision 2047 document. The move is aimed at keeping the planning process on track and ensuring that Uttar Pradesh achieves its targeted goals within a realistic and strategic framework.
The state government’s push for bureaucratic coordination, expert consultation, and citizen engagement marks a bold step toward building a developed, inclusive, and future-ready Uttar Pradesh by 2047.
