The government of Gujarat, through a circular issued by its General Administrative Department (GAD), has lately carried out a substantial bureaucratic reshuffle by transferring 18 IAS officers across the state.
These eminent IAS transferees are as follows:
- Mr. Manoj Kumar Das (1990 batch), last posted as Additional Chief Secretary (ACS) of the Revenue Department, has been made the Additional Chief Secretary to the Chief Minister, with an additional charge of ACS (Home).
- Mr. Pankaj Joshi (1989 batch), the incumbent Additional Chief Secretary to the Chief Minister, will also take additional charge as the ACS in the Department of Ports and Transport.
- Ms. Sunaina Tomar (1989 batch), last posted as ACS of the Social Justice and Empowerment Department, was mandated to assume charge of ACS, Education.
- Dr. Anju Sharma (1991 batch), previously ACS of the Labour, Skill Development, and Employment Department, has been made ACS of Agriculture, Farmers Welfare & Cooperation Department.
- Mr. S J Haider (1991 batch) became the ACS of the Energy & Petrochemicals Department, while Mr. J P Gupta () became the ACS of the Tribal Development Department.
- Ms. Mamta Verma (1994 batch), last posted as Principal Secretary in the Department of Energy and Petrochemicals, was made Principal Secretary in the Industries and Mines Department.
- Mr. Mukesh Kumar (1996 batch) became the new Principal Secretary of Primary and Secondary Education.
- Mr. Vinod Rao (2000 batch), last posted as Secretary in the Department of Primary and Secondary Education, has been made Secretary in the Labour, Skill Development and Employment Department.
Other eminent IAS officers, including Mr. S Murali Krishna (1998 batch), Mr. Anupam Anand (2000 batch), Mr. Rajesh Manjhu (2000 batch), Mr. Rakesh Shankar (2004 batch), Officer K K Nirala (2005 batch), and Officer A M Sharma (2008 batch), have been assigned fresh roles as part of this reshuffle.
