Benefits for Residents and Students
The construction of these bridges will make travel easier for villagers, especially during the monsoon season when access to district and taluka headquarters can be challenging. Students commuting to schools and colleges in these areas will have safer and faster routes, ensuring uninterrupted education.
Support for Pilgrims and Reduced Travel Distance
The bridges will also benefit pilgrims visiting the Uttarvahini Parikrama, an annual religious journey held in Chaitra month in Nandod and Tilakwara talukas. With these bridges, the total travel distance for pilgrims will be reduced by 17 kilometers, resulting in significant time and fuel savings.
Strategic Development for Tribal Regions
This initiative reflects the Gujarat government’s commitment to strengthening infrastructure in tribal regions, enhancing mobility, and promoting socio-economic development. Improved road connectivity will facilitate access to markets, healthcare, education, and other essential services for tribal communities.
