The Haryana government has undertaken significant organizational changes within the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO), redistributing 58 major departments among six key officers.
- 1988 batch retired IAS officer Rajesh Khullar of Haryana cadre who is the Chief Principal Secretary to the CM has been assigned with –
- 17 departments.
- Overall in-charge of the CM Office.
- Handles legislative business, parliamentary matters, laws and legislation.
- Also responsible for Architecture, Justice, Civil Resources Information, Excise and Taxation, Energy, Foreign Cooperation, General Administration, Personnel and Training, Hospitality and Vigilance, Home, Criminal Justice, Industries and Commerce, Information, Public Relations, Languages and Culture, Jails, Public Health Engineering, Public Works Department, Rehabilitation, Revenue and Disaster Management, Town and Country Planning, Urban Estates, and CMO establishment.
- 1993 batch IAS officer V Umashankar of Haryana cadre who is the Principal Secretary to CM has been assigned with –
- In charge of most departments of Deputy CM Dushyant Chautala.
- Manages Civil Aviation, Co-operation, Development and Panchayats, Finance, Institutional Finance and Credit Control, Mining and Geology, Planning, Social Justice, Empowerment, Welfare of SCs and BCs, Antyodaya (SEWA), Transport, Urban Local Bodies, Youth Empowerment, and Entrepreneurship.
- 2004 batch IAS officer Ashima Brar of Haryana cadre who is the Additional Principal Secretary to CM has been assigned with –
- Handles 11 departments, making her the second in terms of department count.
- Manages Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Animal Husbandry and Dairying, Elections, Fisheries, Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs, Housing for All, Labour, Printing and Stationery, Sainik and Ardh Sainik Welfare, Sports, and Women and Child Development.
- 2003 batch IAS officer Amit Agrawal of Haryana cadre who is the Additional Principal Secretary to CM has been assigned with –
- Responsible for Archives, AYUSH, Environment, Forests and Wildlife, Health, Heritage and Tourism, Higher Education, Kurukshetra Development Board, Medical Education and Research, and School Education.
- Retired IAS officer Devendra Singh who is the Adviser to CM – Irrigation has been assigned with-
- Monitors the performance of various departments under the CM window.
- Oversees work related to irrigation and water resources.
- Ensures the implementation of Chief Minister announcements.
- HCS officer Sudhanshu Gautam who is the OSD to CM has been assigned with –
- Handles allotment of government houses (except Type-V, Panchkula).
- Manages CM announcements, CM Relief Fund, HRDF and other sanctions, HRMS, online transfer policy, and Waqf Board.
- Bhupeshwar Dayal, who is the OSD to CM, will continue to oversee CM Winds and Grievances
