Chandigarh: The Haryana government on Wednesday executed a major transfer and posting exercise affecting 15 Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers. The transfers, issued by Chief Secretary Anurag Rastogi, saw key officials reassigned to new roles across departments, including revenue, irrigation, architecture, town planning, and more.
Notably, four officers who had recently received significant postings on March 19, 2026, were moved to new positions within a span of just three weeks, reflecting a rapid administrative reshuffle.
Key Transfers and Postings
Some of the significant IAS transfers include:
Vineet Garg, former Chairman of the Haryana State Pollution Control Board, has been posted as Additional Chief Secretary (ACS), Printing and Stationery.
Pankaj Agarwal, Principal Secretary of Irrigation and Mines & Geology, has been reassigned as Principal Secretary, Architecture.
Dusmanta Kumar Behera, previously Secretary to Governor and Labour Commissioner, now serves as Secretary, Revenue and Disaster Management Department.
Saket Kumar, Additional Principal Secretary to CM and Commissioner & Secretary of Development & Panchayats Department, Cooperation Department, and Managing Director of Haryana Power Generation Corporation (HPGCL), is now Commissioner & Secretary, Archives.
Other notable reassignments:
Anurag Agarwal, ACS Town and Country Planning, has been given additional charge of Irrigation and Advisor, Haryana Saraswati Heritage Board.
Vijayendra Kumar, ACS Agriculture, receives additional charge of ACS Development and Panchayats Department.
Rajeev Ranjan, Principal Secretary Labour, given additional charge of Cooperation Department.
J Ganesan, Commissioner & Secretary Food, Civil Supplies, and Consumer Affairs, now also Chairman, Haryana State Pollution Control Board and Commissioner & Secretary Public Health Engineering.
Atul Kumar, Transport Commissioner, additionally assigned as Commissioner & Secretary Finance-1.

Ajay Kumar, Gurugram Deputy Commissioner, posted as Deputy Principal Secretary-II to the Chief Minister.
Uttam Singh, Karnal DC, now reassigned as Gurugram DC.
Anand Kumar Sharma, Rohtak Municipal Corporation Commissioner, posted as Karnal DC.
Mani Ram Sharma, Registrar, Cooperative Societies, posted as Secretary, Health, relieving Rippudaman Singh Dhillon.
Aditya Dahiya, MD Haryana Vidyut Prasaran Nigam and Director, Department of Future, given additional charge of MD, HPGCL.
