Himachal Pradesh: 8 IAS & 1 IFS Officer Transferred, Manasi Sahay Thakur Made Labour Commissioner

2010 batch IAS officer Yunus, who has been the Commissioner of State Taxes and Excise, will take over the role of Director of Industries while retaining his position as Commissioner until further notice.

In a significant administrative reshuffle in Himachal Pradesh, the state government announced the transfer of eight IAS officers and one Indian Forest Service (IFS) officer.

2012 batch IAS officer Rakesh Kumar Prajapati, currently serving as the Director of Industries, has been appointed as the new Director of Energy.

2010 batch IAS officer Yunus, who has been the Commissioner of State Taxes and Excise, will take over the role of Director of Industries while retaining his position as Commissioner until further notice.

2012 batch IAS officer Harikesh Meena, previously the Director of Energy, has been designated as the Managing Director of HP Power Corporation Ltd., Shimla.

Meanwhile, Rupali Thakur, 2014 batch IAS officer and Director of the Women and Child Development Department, will transition to serve as the Director of the HP Institute of Public Administration, Shimla.

In another change, 2009 batch IAS officer Manasi Sahay Thakur, who held the position of Director of Tourism and Civil Aviation, has been transferred to the role of Labour Commissioner-cum-Director of Employment, Shimla.

2011 batch IAS officer Vivek Bhatia, Principal Private Secretary-cum-Special Secretary to Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, will take on the additional responsibilities of Director of Tourism and Civil Aviation while also managing the Director of Youth Services and Sports.

Gopal Chand, also an IAS officer of 2011 batch and currently the Director of Urban Development, has been appointed as the Chief Executive Officer-cum-Managing Director of Shimla Smart City Ltd.

2011 batch Indian Forest Service (IFS) officer Neeraj Kumar, the Conservator of Forests in Rampur, has been transferred to the position of Director of Urban Development, with his services being placed at the disposal of the Department of Personnel.
