Shimla: The Himachal Pradesh government carried out an administrative reshuffle on Friday, issuing transfer orders for one Indian Forest Service (IFS) officer and several Himachal Pradesh Administrative Service (HPAS) officers. The orders were issued under the direction of Chief Secretary Sanjay Gupta.
Who Has Been Appointed Where
Rajesh Sharma (IFS)
Currently Director, Samagra Shiksha, Mr Rajesh Sharma will now also hold the additional charge of Managing Director (MD) Milkfed, marking his second tenure with the department.
Vishwa Mohan Dev Chauhan (HPAS 2019)
Joint Secretary, Technical Education, has been appointed as Regional Transport Officer (RTO) Shimla. Upon his assumption, Suri Das Negi will be relieved from the additional charge of RTO Shimla.
Dr. Vikas Sood (HPAS 2012)
MD Milkfed, Dr. Sood has been assigned additional responsibilities –
- Additional Secretary, Technical Education
- Additional charge of Additional Secretary, Revenue-DM
Kunika Akers (HPAS 2022)
Sub-Divisional Officer (Civil), Bali Chowki, District Mandi, now appointed as Sub-Divisional Officer (Civil)-cum-Project Officer (DRDA) Keylong, Lahaul and Spiti.
Bachittar Singh (HPAS 2023)
Will continue as Sub-Divisional Officer (Civil), Bali Chowki, District Mandi.
Raman Gharsangi (HPAS 2017)
Sub-Divisional Officer (Civil), Pangi, District Chamba, and holding additional charge as Resident Commissioner, Pangi, has been appointed OSD, Sainik Welfare, Hamirpur, relieving Deepti Mandhotra (HPAS 2011).
Dikshit Rana (HPAS 2022)
Posted as Sub-Divisional Officer (Civil), Kaza, District Lahaul and Spiti.
Amandeep Singh (HPAS 2022)
Awaiting posting, now assigned as Sub-Divisional Officer (Civil), Pangi, District Chamba.
Jagdish Chand (HPAS 2025)
Sub-Divisional Officer (Civil), Kaza, District Lahaul and Spiti, appointed as Sub-Divisional Officer (Civil), Kotli, District Mandi.
Promotion of 35 Junior Engineers to SDOs
In addition to the transfers, the Himachal Pradesh government promoted 35 Junior Engineers (JEs) to Assistant Engineers (SDOs). The Public Works Department issued a notification on Wednesday regarding their promotion and transfer orders.
The engineers have been instructed to –
- Report to their new stations within 10 days
- Inform headquarters upon joining
This move is part of the state government’s ongoing effort to strengthen administrative efficiency across departments.
