Two Tamil Nadu districts affected by the hooch tragedies, Villupuram and Chengalpattu, were assigned new SPs on Friday. IPS Sai Praneeth has been appointed as the SP of Chengalpattu, and IPS Shashank Sai has been appointed as the SP of Villupuram.

IPS P Saravanan, who was placed on mandatory leave following the alleged custody abuse of Ambasamudram ASP, has been appointed as DC (Traffic), Chennai North. Tirunelveli’s former SP was P Saravanan.
IPS Albert John, who was Deputy Commissioner of Police, Flower Bazaar, Greater Chennai Police, Chennai has been posted as SP Tirupathur District in the place of Dr. KS Balla Krisshnan.
