HP: Government Elevates Four IPS Officers to Director General of Police

Upon the screening committee's recommendations, officers from the 1993 and 1994 batches of the Himachal cadre have been appointed to the rank of DG Police.

In a significant move aimed at bolstering law enforcement in the state, the Himachal Pradesh government has announced the promotion of four senior IPS officers to the prestigious rank of Director General of Police (DGP).

These promotions, based on the recommendations of a rigorous screening committee, highlight the state’s commitment to leadership and excellence within its police force.

The officers elevated to the rank of DGP are:

Anurag Garg (IPS:1993)
Ashok Tiwari (IPS:1993)
Rithwik Rudra (IPS:1993)
Rakesh Aggarwal (IPS:1994)

All four officers belong to the Himachal cadre and have distinguished themselves through decades of service, demonstrating exceptional dedication and proficiency in maintaining law and order.
