The Housing and Urban Development Corporation Limited (HUDCO) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) to finance and support infrastructure projects in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR). The MoU was signed on April 8 in Mumbai.

As per the agreement, HUDCO has committed to exploring and providing financial assistance of up to Rs. 1,50,000 crore over a five-year period for infrastructure projects undertaken by MMRDA. The collaboration also includes consultancy services and capacity-building support from HUDCO to help MMRDA meet its evolving project and institutional needs.

The signing ceremony was attended by key dignitaries, including Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, and HUDCO Chairman and Managing Director Sanjay Kulshrestha.
This strategic partnership marks a major milestone in strengthening urban infrastructure in one of India’s most dynamic and densely populated metropolitan regions. It also highlights HUDCO’s continued commitment to promoting sustainable urban development across the country.
