Established in 2016, HURL has transformed into a cornerstone of India’s fertilizer ecosystem, with fully operational and state-of-the-art plants at Gorakhpur, Sindri, and Barauni. The Foundation Day celebrations at Gorakhpur reflected this legacy of excellence and commitment.

The day commenced with a plantation drive, reinforcing HURL’s pledge to environmental sustainability. A detailed plant tour followed, led by Managing Director Dr. Siba Prasad Mohanty and other senior officials, showcasing the company’s technical capabilities and operational achievements.

A special Prize Distribution Ceremony honoured the Loading & Packing Workers — the backbone of plant operations — recognizing their tireless dedication and contribution.

The evening segment of the celebration was marked by addresses from dignitaries and a presentation by the Plant Head, outlining the unit’s progress and future vision.

In a heartfelt message, the Chairman of HURL remarked, “HURL’s journey over the last 10 years is a testament to what can be achieved through vision, collaboration, and commitment. We honour not just infrastructure but the people who power our purpose.”

Echoing this vision, Managing Director Dr. Siba Prasad Mohanty stated, “We are not just manufacturing urea — we are nurturing the backbone of India. The future will focus on innovation, farmer empowerment, and green growth.”

The Gorakhpur unit’s Foundation Day celebration stood as a tribute to HURL’s core values — gratitude, people, and purpose — as the organisation looks forward to a decade of deeper impact, resilience, and innovation.
