The Governor of Nagaland has relieved Ajit Kumar Ranjan, IAS, from his role as Deputy Commissioner of Wokha district following his appointment as Deputy Secretary in the 16th Finance Commission, Government of India.
This announcement was made in a notification from the Department of Personnel and Administrative Reforms on June 28.
“Following his appointment as Deputy Secretary in the 16th Finance Commission, Government of India, as per letter No.10/12/2024-Estt/SFC dated 09.04.2024, the Governor of Nagaland has relieved Shri Ajit Kumar Ranjan, IAS (NL:2015), effective from the forenoon of June 30, 2024, to allow him to assume his new position. The officer is entitled to joining time per regulations after his current assignment,” the notification stated.
Additionally, K. Fürhesie Nyuwi, NCS, ADC Wokha, has been designated to hold the charge of the DC Office Wokha, in addition to his regular duties, until a new DC is appointed.
