The Uttar Pradesh government has recently appointed Mr. Alok Kumar, a 1993-batch IAS officer of the UP cadre, as the new Chairman of the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA). Known for his sincerity and integrity, Mr. Kumar currently serves as the Principal Secretary, MSME & Export Promotion, and Principal Secretary, Infrastructure & Industrial Development & NRI Department.
The Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) is a key urban planning and infrastructure body in Uttar Pradesh, responsible for the development of industrial, commercial, and residential projects along the Yamuna Expressway corridor. Established to boost economic growth, YEIDA plays a crucial role in shaping the Delhi-NCR region, overseeing major projects like the Noida International Airport and integrated townships. It aims to enhance connectivity, attract investments, and promote sustainable urbanization.
