IAS officer Mr. Ananya Mittal (2015-batch), currently serving as the District Magistrate-cum-Deputy Commissioner of East Singhbhum, Jharkhand, has been awarded the prestigious Best Electoral Practices Award by President Droupadi Murmu. The award was conferred during a grand ceremony on the 15th National Voter’s Day at the Manekshaw Auditorium, Delhi, in recognition of his exemplary contributions to the electoral process.
During the event, President Murmu highlighted the pride India takes in being the world’s oldest, largest, and most inclusive democracy, celebrating its diversity and sensitivity.
Mr. Mittal was recognized for his pivotal role in ensuring the smooth conduct of the Lok Sabha elections and for effectively implementing development and welfare schemes at both central and state levels. Before his current posting, he served as the District Magistrate-cum-Deputy Commissioner of West Singhbhum and succeeded Mr. Manjunath Bhajantri (2011-batch IAS officer) in his current role.
Known for his efficient administration and governance reforms, Mr. Mittal’s dedication and achievements have earned him this distinguished national honor.
