Two bureaucrats were recently appointed as Officers on Special Duty (OSD) to two Union Ministers.
- IAS officer Baranwal Varunkumar Jagdish (2014-batch Gujarat cadre) has been appointed as Officer and Special Duty (OSD) to the Union Minister for Commerce & Industry, Mr. Piyush Goyal, for four years. Officer Jagdish’s appointment has been made for four years from the date of assumption of charge of the post or on a co-terminus basis with the Minister or till he ceases to function as OSD to the Minister or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
- Mr. Bibhuti Bhushan, the Assistant General Manager of Air Traffic Service, has been appointed as Officer and Special Duty (OSD) to the Union Minister for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, Mr. Jitan Ram Majhi, from the date of assumption of charge of the post or on a co-terminus basis with the Minister or till he ceases to function as OSD to the Minister or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
