Mr. Muktanand Agrawal, a 2008-batch Rajasthan cadre IAS officer currently on Central Deputation as Director in the Department of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare, has been promoted to the rank of Joint Secretary (Level 14 of the Pay Matrix).
He has been appointed as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana (PMFBY) under the Department of Agriculture & Farmers Welfare. His tenure will extend for five years, until November 6, 2027.
Mr. Agrawal’s new role will involve overseeing the implementation of the PMFBY, which is a flagship scheme aimed at providing financial support to farmers in case of crop loss due to natural calamities.
