IAS officer Alex VF Paul Menon V, previously serving as the Joint Development Commissioner at MEPZ SEZ, Chennai, has been appointed as the Development Commissioner (JS level) for MEPZ SEZ in Chennai, under the Department of Commerce.
According to an order released by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Friday, September 15, 2023, the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has granted approval for Mr. Menon’s appointment, effective from his date of assuming office. He is appointed for a total tenure of five years, which will conclude on March 22, 2027, or until further directives are issued. Mr. Menon will succeed MKS Sundaram (IAS: 1997: UP) in this role.
