1989 batch IAS officer of Assam cadre, Mr. Sameer Kumar Khade, has been made the Chairman of the Assam Administrative Tribunal (AAT) by the Assam government.
He has recently returned from central deputation.
He will take the place of Mr. Ravi Shankar Prasad, an IAS officer of 1990 batch who had been holding the additional charge of this position.
Mr. Prasad is currently serving as the Additional Chief Secretary for the Environment & Forest and Soil Conservation Departments. Additionally, he holds the position of Director General at the Assam Administrative Staff College.
