K Balaji Appointed Director in Ministry of Home Affairs
Mr. K Balaji, a 2010 batch Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer of the Uttar Pradesh cadre, has been appointed as Director in the Ministry of Home Affairs. His new role places him in the heart of internal security and governance, where he is expected to contribute significantly to administrative reforms, security policy, and coordination efforts across states.
Ms. Archana Mittal to Join NITI Aayog as Adviser
Ms. Archana Mittal, a senior officer of the Indian Railway Service of Mechanical Engineers (IRSME), currently serving in Northern Railway, has been selected for deputation to NITI Aayog. She will serve as Adviser at the Joint Secretary level for a tenure of five years. Her induction into India’s apex policy think-tank is expected to bolster infrastructure and innovation-related policymaking, particularly in areas of transport, manufacturing, and public-private partnerships.
These high-level appointments reflect the government’s continued efforts to deploy experienced officers across pivotal departments and think-tanks to steer national policy, coordination, and development in alignment with India’s long-term governance agenda.
