Following a circular issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on February 22nd, the 2011-batch AGMUT cadre IAS officer, Mr. Bhupinder Kumar, was mandated to assume office with the rank of Deputy Secretary as the Director of Census Operations (DCO) and Director of Citizen Registration (DCR) in the J&K and Ladakh on an additional charge basis.
Mr. Bhupinder Kumar had earlier served as the Transport Commissioner in J&K. He has been appointed with a tenure extending up to December 31st, 2025 or until further notifications, whichever transpires earlier.
