IAS officer Bishnu Charan Mallick, serving as DCO/ DCR Registrar General in the Union Home Ministry, will remain on central deputation until December 31, 2025, as his tenure has been extended.
Mallick accepted a three-year deputation in December 2020, with his term set to finish this year. However, the appointment committee has extended his deputation till further notice.
Aside from that, the director-level position has been promoted to joint secretary level till August 2025.
Bishnu Charan Mallick is from Jajpur, Odisha. In his 16 years of service, he has held a variety of key roles, including secretary of the Jaipur Development Authority and collector of four districts: Karauli, Jhalawar, Udaipur, and Jodhpur. He has also worked as an excise commissioner.
