IAS officer Mayur Ratilal Govekar has been appointed as the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH)’s Deputy Secretary (DS). He has been appointed to the post under the Central Staffing Scheme (CSS) for a period of four years, effective from the date of taking over charge of the post or until further orders, whichever is earlier, according to an order issued by the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT) on Tuesday.
Presently, he is posted as District Magistrate & Collector of Gomati District in his home cadre. “He may kindly be relieved of his duties immediately with instructions to take up his new assignments in the Ministry of Road Transports & Highways,” the order further stated.
