On March 2nd, a pool of trainee IAS officers visited the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) to inculcate the sound practices required in the bureaucracy. Here, Mr. Ronald Rose (2006 batch IAS officer), the incumbent Commissioner of the GHMC, acquainted them with the best practices in the GHMC via a PowerPoint presentation.
Officer Rose pontificated the nuances of sanitation, solid waste management, C&D dump yard, garbage collection, elimination, SNDP, SRDP, town planning, measures taken for women’s economic empowerment, employment opportunities for unemployed youths, greenery, model graveyards, multi-purpose function halls, foot over bridges and construction of double bedrooms, to the budding bureaucrats amidst several other things.
