Senior IAS Utpal Kumar Singh, the incumbent Secretary General of Lok Sabha (Secretariat), has reportedly been given another one-year extension. Mr. Singh’s term was expected to end this month.
Officer Singh is a 1983-batch Uttarakhand cadre IAS officer who served as the Chief Secretary of Uttarakhand for more than two-and-a-half years. During this term, he provided an enhanced momentum in policy formulation and management across all sectors of the state and economy.
Mr. Singh has also held several important designations like the Additional Secretary in the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare,
