In a significant administrative reshuffle, the Punjab government has announced the immediate transfer of three officers, including two IAS officials and one Punjab Civil Service (PCS) officer.
The officers affected by this decision are IAS Paramveer Singh, IAS Gulpreet Singh Aulakh, and PCS officer Sumandeep Kaur.
2015 batch IAS officer Paramvir Singh, Special Secretary Finance has been transferred and posted as the new Deputy Commissioner of Tarn Taran.
He succeeds IAS Gulpreet Singh Aulakh, also an IAS officer of 2015 batch, who was recently moved out on orders of Election Commission for violations in Panchayat Elections.
Mr Aulakh has been transferred as Commissioner of Municipal Corporation, Amritsar. Singh was moved only after three days of being appointed as Deputy Commissioner.
Apart from above PCS Sumandeep Kaur available for posting has been appointed as Joint Commissioner of Municipal Corporation, Jalandhar.
The transfers are expected to take effect immediately, with the officers transitioning to their new roles as designated by the state government.
