IAS officer Ravi Jha will continue to serve as the Private Secretary to Piyush Goyal, Minister of Commerce and Industry, Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution, and Textiles. His deputation term, which was supposed to end on February 16, 2024, has been extended. This extension was granted by the Cabinet Appointments Committee, according to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on Tuesday, October 17, 2023.
Mr. Jha’s extended deputation will run concurrently with the Minister’s tenure, or until he no longer holds the position of Private Secretary to the Minister, or until additional directives are issued, whichever comes first.
