The Tamil Nadu government initiated transfer of a few IAS officers to new positions. These officers are-
- Jayashree Muralidharan was named secretary to social welfare and women empowerment, department.
- S Nagarajan will be the secretary to the welfare of differently-abled persons department. He will also hold additional charge of the post of secretary to the human resources management department.
- L Subramanian becomes secretary to Tamil development and information department.
- K S Palanisamy is posted as commissioner of land administration.
- Shunchongam Jatak Chiru becomes principal secretary/commissioner of fisheries and also managing director of Tamil Nadu Fisheries Development Corporation.
- R Selvaraj has been posted as project director of Tamil Nadu Road Sector Project-II. He will also hold additional charge of project director of Chennai-Kanyakumar Industrial Corridor and ex-officio as managing director of Tamil Nadu Road Development Company.
