In an another bureaucratic reshuffle in Uttarakhand before Lok Sabh Election 2024, Pushkar Singh Dhami led state government has transferred and posted 3 IAS and 6 PCS officers. Many of them have been given additional charge.
The names of officers whose responsibilities have been changed include Harish Chandra Semwal, Deependra Kumar Chaudhary and Ashish Bhatgain.
The responsibility of Secretary Human Rights Commission has been taken back from Harish Chandra Semwal, an IAS officer of 2005 batch. He will remain Secretary Religion and Culture, Panchayati Raj. Harish Chandra Semwal’s health had deteriorated recently.
While 2007 batch IAS officer Deependra Kumar Choudhary has been given the additional charge of Secretary Human Rights Commission.
Ashish Bhatgain, an IAS officer of 2017 batch, has been given the additional charge of Director Administration, Pantnagar Agricultural University along with Director Social Welfare.
Atar Singh will remain as Additional Secretary, Housing Department. While the charge of Additional Secretary Home Department has been removed from him.
PCS officer Dinesh Pratap Singh has been rewarded for his work as he is handling the responsibility of Doiwala Sugar Mill.
Mohammad Nasir has got the responsibility of Joint Director of Dr. RS Tolia of Uttarakhand Administration Academy.
Jitendra Kumar has got the responsibility of Municipal Commissioner, Municipal Corporation Roorkee.
The responsibility of Municipal Commissioner Municipal Corporation Roorkee has been taken back from Vijaynath Shukla. However, he has been made Secretary, District Development Authority, Nainital.
Besides, the General Manager has been given additional responsibility of Kumaon Mandal Development Corporation.
Pankaj Upadhyay, who was in controversy regarding the Banbhulpura dispute in Udham Singh Nagar, has been given the additional responsibility of Secretary District Development Authority Udham Singh Nagar.
