In a bureaucratic reshuffle in Uttar Pradesh, the Yogi Adityanath-led state government has transferred and posted 5 IAS officers.

2017 batch IAS officer Akshat Verma has been appointed as the new Municipal Commissioner of Varanasi.

While 2016 batch IAS officer Pulkit Garg has been made the new vice-chairman of Varanasi Development Authority (VDA) in Varanasi.

2017 batch IAS officer Sipu Giri, who was the current Municipal Commissioner of Varanasi, has been made Special Secretary, Higher Education Department.

Mr. Satya Prakash, an IAS officer of 2016 batch, has been sent from Additional Commissioner Excise to the post of Municipal Commissioner, Jhansi.

The 2020 batch IAS officer Nidhi Bansal has been made CDO Sitapur. She was Joint Magistrate in Jhansi.

2013 batch IAS officer Deepa Ranjan has been made Mission Director in NRLM.
