IAS Officer Parampal Kaur Sidhu Resigns, Likely To Contest Election

IAS officer of Punjab cadre Ms. Parampal Kaur Sidhu has resigned and is likely to contest upcoming g Lok Sabha elections. There are reports that Ms. Sidhu who is also the daughter-in-law of Shiromani Akali Dal leader Sikandar Singh Maluka, can join BJP.

A 2011-batch IAS officer, Sidhu is due to retire in October. She is currently posted as managing director of the Punjab State Industrial Development Corporation, had sent her resignation to Chief Secretary Anurag Verma. After the Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann clears the resignation, it will be sent to the central Department of Personnel and Training.
