Santanu Kumar Agrahari, an IAS officer from the 2012 batch, has been appointed as Private Secretary to V. Somanna, the Minister of State for Jal Shakti and Railways, with a focus on the Ministry of Railways.
According to an order from the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) on November 16, 2024, Mr. Agrahari’s appointment is approved until November 28, 2026, or as long as he serves as Private Secretary, or until he is reassigned—whichever comes first.
He will take on this role at the Deputy Secretary level.
