The Ministry of Steel has appointed Subodh Kumar Singh, a senior Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer of the Chhattisgarh cadre, as Government Director on the Board of Directors of NMDC Limited. The appointment, effective from November 6, 2024, was confirmed by NMDC Limited in a regulatory filing on Thursday.
Subodh Kumar Singh, who serves as Additional Secretary and Financial Advisor in the Ministry of Steel, is a 1997-batch IAS officer. With an academic background in electrical engineering from IIT Roorkee and a Master’s degree in Business Administration from IGNOU, Singh brings extensive experience to his new role on the NMDC Board.
In line with the Ministry’s earlier directive from March 2023, CMDs, Functional Directors, and Government Directors appointed in NMDC Limited will also hold similar positions on the NMDC Steel Limited board until further notice.
