New Delhi: In a significant development, Pankaj Jain (IAS:2012:MP) has been appointed as the Private Secretary to the Minister for Coal & Mines, G Kishan Reddy. The appointment, confirmed through an official order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT), is set for a duration of five years, starting from the date he takes over the charge of the post, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
As per the notification, the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the appointment of Mr. Jain for a term of five years or until his tenure ends, whichever comes first. Mr. Jain will serve at the Deputy Secretary level in the Ministry of Mines.
This appointment reflects the government’s confidence in Pankaj Jain’s administrative abilities and his new role will contribute significantly to the functioning of the Ministry of Mines under the leadership of Minister G Kishan Reddy.
