In a recent development, Ms. R Anjali, an IAS officer of the 2020 batch from Madhya Pradesh, has been granted an inter-cadre transfer to Maharashtra. The transfer comes on the grounds of her marriage to Shri Yogesh Kumar Meena, an IAS officer of the 2024 batch from Maharashtra.
The transfer, which is in accordance with the guidelines for inter-cadre transfers in the Indian Administrative Service, has been approved following the couple’s union. It is a common practice for officers to request such transfers under personal grounds, especially in cases involving marriage to an IAS officer from a different state cadre.
R Anjali had been serving in the Madhya Pradesh cadre prior to the transfer. With the move to Maharashtra, she will now join the state’s administrative services and continue her career in the region.
