IAS Reshuffle In Bihar, Abhay Kumar Singh Made MD, Patna Metro Rail Corporation

The government of Bihar has recently mandated the transfer of several senior officers of the Indian Administrative Service.

Mr. Anand Kishore (1996 batch) has been relieved of his responsibility as the Managing Director of Patna Metro Rail Corporation Limited and Principal Secretary of Municipal Development and Housing Department.

Mr. Abhay Kumar Singh (2004-batch) has been mandated to assume charge of Secretary, Urban Development Department and Managing Director, Patna Metro Rail Corporation Limited. Officer Kishore has also been given the additional charge of Principal Secretary of the Finance Department and shall continue to hold the post of President of Bihar Board. He shall also continue to hold additional charge of Secretary, Information and Technology Department and Managing Director, Bihar State Electronic Development Corporation (BELTRON).

Mr. Lokesh Kumar (2003 batch) became Secretary of the Rural Development Department with the additional charge of Secretary of the Tourism Department. His responsibility as Secretary of the Finance Department has been withdrawn.

Mr. Deepak Anand (2007 batch) replaces Dr. B Rajendra (1995 batch) as the Principal Secretary in the Labour Resources Department. Officer Anand will continue to play the key role of Secretary (Expenditure) of the Finance Department. Similarly, Officer B Rajendra shall continue as the Secretary of the General Administration Department, Principal Secretary of Public Grievances, Mission Director of the Bihar Administrative Reforms Mission Society and Principal Secretary of the Sports Department.

Mr. Shirsat Kapil Ashok (2011 batch) got an additional charge of the Bihar State Bridge Construction Corporation Limited while holding the additional charge of the Special Secretary of the Road Construction Department along with the Managing Director of Bihar State Road Development Corporation, Patna.

Mr. Nilesh Ramchandra Devare (2011 batch), the incumbent Managing Director of Bihar North Bihar Power Distribution Company Limited, has been given the additional charge of Special Secretary in the Cabinet Secretariat Department.
