New Delhi: The Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT) has issued official notifications regarding temporary appointments and additional charges on Sunday.
IAS Officer Sanjay Kumar Assigned Additional Responsibility
Sanjay Kumar (IAS: 1990: BH), currently serving as Secretary of the Department of School Education & Literacy, has been entrusted with the additional charge of the following posts:
- Secretary, Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT)
- Secretary, Department of Administrative Reforms & Public Grievances (DARPG)
- Secretary, Department of Pensions & Pensioners Welfare (DPPW)
The additional responsibilities will be effective from 12 January 2026 to 18 January 2026, during the period of leave of Rachna Shah (IAS: 1991: KL).
Significance of the Appointment
Sanjay Kumar’s temporary charge covers three crucial central administrative departments:
- DoPT – Responsible for personnel management, policy formulation, and training of central government employees.
