Mr. Shrikant Suse, an IAS officer of the 2016 batch from the erstwhile Jammu & Kashmir cadre, has been awarded the Prime Minister’s Award for Excellence in Public Administration. Currently serving as Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kargil, Mr. Suse received the prestigious recognition under the category of “Holistic Development of Districts” for his outstanding efforts in implementing initiatives that have driven significant development in the Kargil district of Ladakh.
Previously, Mr. Suse held key positions as DC Shopian and SDM South in Jammu and Kashmir, where he established himself as a dedicated and innovative administrator. The Prime Minister’s Award celebrates excellence, innovation, and accountability in public administration by recognizing civil servants who implement impactful government programs and reforms. This honor aims to inspire officials to adopt people-centric governance practices and contribute to the holistic development of the nation.
