In a tragic incident early Monday morning, a container truck collided with a tractor trolley carrying 60–61 pilgrims on National Highway 34 near Bulandshahr, Uttar Pradesh. The pilgrims were en route from Kasganj to Gogamedi in Rajasthan when the accident occurred around 2:15 AM, claiming at least nine lives and leaving over 40 injured, including two in critical condition.

Upon learning of the accident, Bulandshahr District Magistrate (DM) Shruti, a 2011-batch IAS officer, rushed to the scene and took immediate charge of the relief operations. Accompanied by SSP Singh and other senior officials, DM Shruti visited the injured at the local hospital, ensured proper medical care, and coordinated emergency response efforts on the ground.
