Siddharth Mahajan, an IAS officer of the 2003 batch from Rajasthan, will continue in his role as Joint Secretary in the Department of Commerce, following an extension of his central deputation tenure.
An official order from the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) announced the approval of this extension, allowing Mahajan to serve for a total of seven years, now set to last until November 7, 2028, or until further orders are issued.
This extension underscores the government’s confidence in Mahajan’s capabilities as he plays a crucial role in shaping trade policies and strategies within the Department of Commerce.
