As per a circular issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT), Mr. Tarun Kumar Pithode (IAS) has been appointed as the Director of the Ministry of Environment Forest & Climate Change (EF&CC) for a tenure of five years. Officer Pithode is a 2009-batch Madhya Pradesh cadre IAS officer who had earlier served as the Collector of Rajgarh District. Officer Pithode has been awarded the posting under the central staffing scheme for five years or until further orders, whichever transpire earlier.
